Rome - Story Boards
Story Boards for the different Rooms that required animation from specific characters. Our production capabilities were limited back in 2013, so all of the animation and modeling had to be done by inhouse. This gave us a lot of freedom to develop ideas and concepts, but that had to be channeled into effective ways to convey and deliver the message, feelings and ideas we wish to transmit.
Sometimes it was needed to separate the same storyboard by assets to assist the development of complex shots with multiple assets being animated. By dividing the artwork by assets groups (soldiers, elephants, mortars) the animators could focus on solving the animations per group, speeding up the production pipeline in terms of reviews and final compositions.
